Structural Supports, Anchoring and Load Testing

Consel Inc. specializes in structural repair and stabilization, and limited access new construction piles. Our piling, anchoring, and load testing services give us unparalleled flexibility and capability. In addition to our grouting expertise, our ability to create effective helical and micro pilings means we can stabilize most structures.

With our limited access equipment Consel Inc. can meet a huge range of site conditions from installing up to 150 ton piles inside existing structures to installing underpinning and new constructions piles around, inside and behind existing homes and commercial buildings.

Helical Pilings

We use helical pilings to repair foundations cost-effectively and practically. Using the patented A.B. Chance Helical Pier Foundation System (Made in the USA), what is essentially a giant screw is drilled into the ground and constantly monitored for torque loads until it can support the required load capacity. Helical pilings are typically used for limited access conditions, or where vibrations of normal pile installation are not acceptable. The helical piers are used to support existing foundations and interior floors, they are incorporated as a load-bearing pile in new construction, or to support retaining and seawalls and other structural components.

Micro Pilings

Like helical pilings, micro pilings are relatively unobtrusive and do not disturb nearby ground and structures during installation. Consel Inc. utilizes a grouted hollow bar system which is simultaneously drilled and grouted to produce a high-capacity pile capable of loads from 0 to 150 tons and more. These piles can be installed through varying soil conditions to access the proper bearing strata and socket into hard competent rock. These pilings can support surprisingly high loads and are perfect for environments with low overhead and limited space, such as behind homes or inside existing buildings.

Piling Load Testing

Consel Inc. doesn’t just install pilings. We load test, and guarantee the quality of any we install. We can simulate most loading conditions with three different load testing frames capable of replicating five to 150 tons of pressure.
