Grouting for Your Structures and Machines

Our grouting techniques and technologies provide solutions for various stabilization, securement, and structural lifting needs.

Permeation Grouting

Permeation grouting utilizes chemical or micro-fine cements to permeate the soil and rock matrix to permanently bond and stabilize the subsurface soils. This makes permeation grouting excellent for stabilization of permanent structures like building foundations, roadways, sewer pipes, launch pads, runways, etc.

Permeation grouting can also be utilized to stabilize the soils below or near an existing structure during construction of an adjacent structure. Permeation grouting can be used alone or in conjunction with other stabilizing methods such as piles as support for excavation or dewatering which might destabilize the existing structure.

Consel Inc. performs this type of grouting by first inspecting the site to determine the specific requirements of the project. The structure and soil conditions are inspected to determine the appropriate method of stabilization. A layout for the injection pipes and/or probes is designed to meet the specific site conditions, and then the chosen injection products are pumped into the ground to fill voids or bond the loose soil areas. This process can be utilized for permanent repair or as temporary support for excavation.

Pressure Grouting

“Pressure grouting” “Mudjacking,” “slabjacking,” are all terms that can be applied to the lifting and stabilization process for repair of sunken/settling structures.

Pressure grouting consists of a thick cementitious slurry material pumped below the structure to lift and stabilize slabs and buildings. Many pressure grouting projects are also accompanied by deeper compaction grout columns used for additional support and to reduce the risk of recurring settlement.

Precision Baseplate Grouting

Instead of supporting and stabilizing structures, precision baseplate grouting stabilizes heavy and industrial machinery. This more secure hold optimizes performance and reduces vibrations, which can cause malfunctions and damage both the machines themselves and the structures on which they rest. Depending on the situation, epoxy or cement grout are used and placed between the machinery baseplate and its structural foundation.

We have decades of experience providing grouting services that achieve substantial results for clients across industries and applications. Contact us to see how we can be your structural stabilization and lifting solution.
